Rich Rutkowski
Rich Rutkowski's name became synonymous with a standard of excellence and spirit of innovation that imbued Green River Community College during his 27 years as president of the college. Upon his retirement in 2010, friends, associates, and members of the college community honored his service with over $54,000 to create the Rich and Shirley Rutkowski General Scholarship. At his retirement celebration, Rich announced that he and his wife Shirley have made provisions in their will for a generous gift toward this endowment. Rich believed it is key this scholarship is general in nature, with no specific criteria, providing the Foundation the flexibility to award to the most deserving student each year.
